The 1st team have returned to training this week to prepare for the new season, and a stringent COViD testing process has been in place for all players, management and officials.

With the Lowland and Highland League's covered under the professional sport exemption, one of the conditions to maintaining this status is that everyone connected with the first team must undergo Lateral Flow Testing at training and on match-days, which has provided a huge K-Park challenge for Team Doctor, Sam Millar.

The now retired former Interventional Radiologist, affectionately known at K-Park as "the Doc", is part of the Senior section COVID response group, helping oversee the process and was fulsome in his praise for the people and processes which have got 1st team operations back underway, commenting,

"As part of professional game exemption, we are required to carry out Lateral Flow Testing at training and on match-days.

This has meant that we have had to ask a lot from the players and staff to ensure everyone is fully compliant to ensure that the tests are taken safely, regularly and are perfectly recorded to allow activity to continue. Everyone involved deserves enormous credit for being so vigilant and I want to thank them all.
