East Kilbride FC are again proudly supporting the EK Community Food Bank by organising a collection ahead of our home Lowland League match against Gretna on Saturday 16th November.
We would ask everyone attending to make a contribution pre-match if they can, in order to help us support a fantastic local charity at a very important time of the year.
Our collection point will be just outside of the main turnstile at K-Park, and visitors to Calderglen Country Park are also very welcome to make donations.
EK Community Food Bank are a network of local churches in East Kilbride who provide love and care for people in the local community. The Food Bank is a short-term care initiative that aims to help families who are facing financial difficulty and who do not have enough to buy all the food they require as a family. Food packages are given out freely to families without question or judgement.
More information on the foodbank is provided on their website and social media links detailed below, and the accompanying picture above details the products that are most useful for the Foodbank to distribute.
Club committee member Andy Semple and loyal supporter Matt Turner are pictured delivering our last appeal donation which generated a fantastic response, and one which we are aiming to better this time round.
